The Originals by Andrea Mystique Collection is designed to arouse curiosity and evoke the feeling of suspense when confronting the unknown.  Each piece from the collection is informed by the powerful desire to capture the beauty we see before our eyes and the longing we feel as it slips by just beyond our grasp.  Andrea has always had a profound respect for the power of crystals and gemstones and their ability to mesmerize and captivate.  It is her wish that each piece from the collection be as enduring and magical as the gems used in their creation.

November 4, 2014 is a very special day for Andrea. It is a diamond anniversary for her business Originals by Andrea. Ten years ago today she walked into the Superior Court of Justice in Ottawa and paid fifty dollars to register the name Originals by Andrea. Essentially on that day she found a precious stone that with a lot of hard work has transformed into a brilliant diamond that shines brightly in her life today. She would therefore like to take the time today to sincerely thank everyone who has helped her make her dreams a reality.

In ancient times, it was believed that the earth was comprised of four key elements: earth, fire, air, and water. The combination of these different elements could help explain natural occurring phenomena.  Andrea’s elements collection is comprised of favourite materials and gemstones seen in previous collections but restructured to create edgy and exciting new looks.  Andrea likes to think of this collection as a reconfiguration of the natural elements present in her prior collections.  Endless combinations of different fundamentals, designed to be unique works of art for today’s modern woman.

Both Andrea and Ed were delighted to be on hand to discuss their collaboration and to meet with patrons of their work.

Andrea has always looked to the natural world for inspiration for her work and her latest collection is once again reflective of this. This upcoming season those who wander through the world and embellish themselves with the riches of their travels inspire her. Whether they have decided to walk along a dusty dirt road or a less worn trail, there is always some natural treasure to be found along their path. The weathered rocks and unique fossils they collect on the journey become priceless memories of where they have been. As their footprints leave marks on the world, the world leaves a mark on them and they are forever changed. This collection is devoted to all those who choose to wander.
